Basic Information
Challenges
There are various difficulty of challenges created in several Cybersecurity related categories to test your skills and knowledge. You will notice that there are some challenges that look like the picture below.
Please do not be alarmed as these challenges are not available until you have solved a pre-requisite challenge.
If you get stuck on a challenge, don't spend too much time on it and move onto another challenge to come back to it later.
Files
Some challenges will require you to download files for the challenge to complete it. They are embeded as links in each of their respective challenge and are not hosted on the server directly. Please right click the links and save these files. If you are having trouble downloading these files, please notify the CTF Staff.
Live Challenges
In this CTF environment, there are Discord Challenges that require you interact with CTF Staff in Discord in your team assigned channel. Please remember to start the challenge in there and indicate on the first message which challenge (challenge name) that you are starting so CTF Staff know what you are working on. All submissions must happen in the chat and the flag will be sent after you complete the challenge.
Challenge Categories
More information about Challenge Categories here.
Flags
All challenges have a standard flag format that is to be accepted as the answer to the challenge.
Flag Examples
- CI{ThisIsAFlag}
- CI{caSEinSenSiTiveFlAg}
- CI{EX{another_Type_of_Flag}}
In order to make this CTF easier, all flags are case insensitive and doesn't require you to have exactly the correct capital and lower case letters in the flag. However, there are submission limitations to prevent flooding random guesses. Flags will not have spaces in them to prevent confusion, they are substituted with underscores instead.
Hints
We have provided hints onto all of our challenges. The first teaser hint cost 0 points, however each additional hint beyond the first one will cost you points.
Note
Note: You may only ask for help in the Discord channel (#help) and nowhere else. CTF Staff will ignore direct messages or tickets asking for help. This is a competition, not a class.
