K12 Teams Special Rules

The following rules applies to all K12 teams, regardless of participation in CyberPatriot:

  • Only one team/school may win in a service division (All Service and Open Service),
  • If multiple teams from a school wins in both service divisions and top places, they will be asked to pick a division and spot (i.e. School A wins 1st and 3rd in Open Service Division and 1st and 2nd in All Service Division. School A will need to pick either Open Service or All Service division and the spot they will like to take. All other teams will be dropped from winning prizes to allow other schools a fair chance),
  • A student may only participate in one division and team. They may not participate in both divisions on multiple teams.
    • No collusion with anyone outside your team (this includes your friends on another team or another team)
  • Sportsmanship

Submission Accuracy

All teams will be evaluated for flag submission accuracy, what does that mean?

  • Teams overall submission will be weighted against their final scores
  • Point deductions for amount of inaccuracy
  • Point awards for most accurate subbmissions and other participation in physical challenges

For example, if a team has a total of 1000 points but their accuracy of submissions are 40% with an incorrect submission rate of 60%. Their total adjusted score will be 400 points (1000 points - 60%).

  • Do not guess multiple choice answers
  • Do not just submit a flag, think carefully before submitting
  • Confirm with your team before submitting the flag
